Welcome

Immanuel Lutheran Church is conservative, confessional, and evangelical.

* Conservative - We believe the Bible is the Word of God without error and the "only judge, rule and norm according to which as the only touchstone all doctrines should and must be understood and judged as good or evil, right or wrong" (Formula of Concord: Epitome, Rule and Norm).

* Confessional - We believe the Apostolic, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds; the unaltered Augsburg Confession; and Martin Luther's Small Catechism are true summaries of the Word of God.

* Evangelical - We believe God chooses us to be in fellowship with Him and made us His best friends again when Jesus died the death we deserve because of our sin and forgave our sin because of His love, mercy, and grace. We believe God gives us the gift of faith through the Means of Grace. We believe salvation is ours when we by faith trust God's promises of forgiveness and life.

Announcements

  • About current health concerns

    Greene County amended its executive order on Thursday, May 7, to allow us to worship in person at the church.

    According to the county amended order, we need to observe the following:

    * Stay home if you are sick.
    * Ensure physical distancing requirements of 6 feet are met at all times.
    * Keep at least two empty seats between parties in any row except for members of the same household.
    * Alternate rows between attendees.

    According to the order, we are not limited in number as long as we can maintain social distancing and CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfection.

    Based on the new executive order, the deacons have decided that we will begin meeting in person for Sunday School and Worship this Sunday, May 10.

    We will not be pre-recording either Sunday School or worship. If you are not able or choose not to attend, the sermon will be posted to below, on the sermon page, and at

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrLKpbjS2sSdOyTpWy5uohImK8rdkYqQW

    as soon as possible Sunday afternoon. A link to the sermon will also be posted to the church Facebook page and here.

  • Do You Feel Lost In The Crowd?

    Come join us for worship and hear God's word, where you are part of a church family not just a face in the crowd. Bible Study at 9:30 am and worship at 11:00 am every Sunday. We celebrate Holy Communion in the Lutheran tradition the first Sunday of each month.
